The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) proudly announces the successful inauguration of solarization projects at three hospitals in Ghana. These projects, developed and implemented in partnership with Tradeworks Limited, include:
- Finney Hospital: 61KWp solar system
- Barnor Memorial Hospital: 21KWp solar system
- Mother-Love Hospital: 30KWp solar system
Supported by technical expertise and co-funding from ECREEE through the ECOWAS Special Intervention Fund (ESIF), these solar systems are set to ensure a reliable power supply, enhancing healthcare delivery in the communities served by these hospitals.
The inauguration ceremony at Finney Hospital was graced by notable figures including:
- Mr. Seth Mahu, Director for Renewable Energy, representing the Honourable Minister of Energy of Ghana
- Mr. Kofi Agyarko, Director for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at the Energy Commission of Ghana, representing the Executive Secretary
- Mr. Jean Francis Sempore, Executive Director of ECREEE
- Dr. Allen Steele-Dadzie, Chief Medical Director of Finney Hospital
- Mr. Randy Sey, Chief Executive Officer of Tradeworks Limited
These solar installations represent a significant advancement in ensuring consistent healthcare services, allowing the hospitals to operate smoothly without the interruptions caused by power outages.
